MARTIN GUITARS HAS introduced the D-28GE Golden Era, an extraordinary instrument that recreates the appointments of the legendary pre-war Brazilian D28. Prior to the Great Depression, Martin originated the dreadnought guitar design for distribution by the Oliver Ditson Company of Boston. In 1931, soon after the market crash, Ditson was sold, and Martin began building dreadnoughts under the Martin name.
