Samui Jazz in association with Amsiam Co., Ltd. , Bangkok
Airways and Hitman Jazz, are proud to kick off
Samui Jazz monthly concert series this year with
Sidsel Storm (http://www.sidselstorm.dk) feat. Trio on
February 26th, at Kirikayan Luxury Pool Villas &
Spa.
Danish singer-songwriter Sidsel had her
first brush with the world of jazz at the Den
Rytmiske H?jskole in Vig, Denmark. She began
studying at the Musikalsk Grundkursus in
Copenhagen in 2003; and in 2005, started the
Sidsel Storm Quartet, which performing at jazz
festivals across the country.
Sidsel performed no less than seven times
during Copenhagen
Jazz Festival 2007,
and sang backing
vocals with Malene
Mortensen on the
soccer song for the
Homeless World Cup
in 2007. She has
played over 25 concerts during the past two
years.
"In 2010 we plan that Samui Jazz will be
scheduled monthly (ten series) in ten months.
This is a perfect opportunity for both residents
and tourists to come out for an evening of
musical entertainment. We guarantee that this
will be a fun and enjoyable evening for all and
after a becoming a huge hit with fans, this
year's series of Samui Jazz will be the biggest to
