Ray Peterson (!!!) Now I know you're probably from my era. Remember Wungboorapa (วังบูรพา) back then? I recall hearing Ray Peterson's "Corina, Corina" played frequently in a big record store there and I thought his voice was similar to Bobby Vee's. That's when I was a "จิ๊กโก๋" hanging out with the wrong people with guns & gun powder bottles. Sad!!!! There was the King Theater, Queen Theater, (original) Central Department store, ice cream shop, Grundig/Nordmende/Telefunken showroom, and a MacIntosh showroom. You & I probably cruised around and passed by each other unknowingly. I bought a pair of Wrangler jeans, the very first batch of Wrangler jeans ever sold in Thailand, from a store around there, and it cost me 135 Baht. Wish I still had it now so I could sell it to someone in the Melrose area.

Last but not least, back then.... the Nightingale Olympic department store ( หลังวังบูรพา?) was a happening place for sports, cosmetics, & musical supplies. I bought a couple of guitars from them and later found out that they "HAD" at least one Gibson Flying V in their (old) inventory. Speaking of Korina wood!.....later about that story.
