The MJ is a powerhouse of a guitar with a massive sound projecting from that Italian spruce top and Medium Jumbo body. You can go from subtle light strums represented with intimate and delicate accuracy, to a powerful and focused attack that never gets too muddy or unbalanced. Italian spruce tops consistently provide crystal clear trebles with spot on clarity.

All of the internal bracing is done with hand-split Appalachian red spruce and the braces are radiused to produce a natural curve in the top, reducing built-in stress and altering the tone, reducing bass muddiness and more focused mid-range, which can be a problem with some Jumbo bodied acoustics - though not this one.

The MJ is ideal for both fingerstyle and those looking for an instrument that frets effortlessly. Often times we come across guitars that almost look too gorgeous to play. But, when it comes to Zircote; you just won't be able to help yourself.

The scientific name for Ziracote is Cordia dodecandra. Ziracote comes from Central America and Mexico and is a truly unique-looking wood. Ziricote has very few imitators; perhaps only the occasional piece of figured Brazilian Rosewood exhibits the same spider-webbing grain figure.

Ziracote boasts a lot of presence with a broad dynamic range. It has a strong bass, lower mids, and incredible sustain. But, when coupled with an Italian Spruce top, there is a significant amount of sweet, bright tones. Each note carries with complexity and richness.

Fingerstyle players will appreciate the ease of articulation across the entire fretboard.
