RE: alder vs ash
บังเอิญยังไม่มีและยังไม่เคยเล่น Ash ครับ แต่จากหนังสือของต่างประเทศว่าไว้ดังนี้ครับ
Ash: offers a very nice balance of brightness and warmth with a lot of "pop". It is a fairly lightweight wood with a stronger grain than alder. Many old the 1950s Fenders were made of ash.

Alder: has a lighter weight and a full sound. Its natural colour is light tan with little or no distinct grain lines. Alder has been the main Fender body wood for many years.
จากหนังสือ:
Electric Guitar Handbook by Alan Ratcliffe, ISBN 978-1-84517-180-3, หน้า 41 ครับ
