This extraordinary acoustic was produced by Takamine in 2005 to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry. It proudly features the Grand Ole Opry’s 80th anniversary logo on the headstock, and the same logo and “1925-2005” year-mark on the fingerboard. Only 80 of these spectacular guitars were built – 40 were given by Takamine to various Opry members, and the other 40 were sold to the public.
Among the many outstanding features on this rare acoustic are a Master Grade solid Sitka Spruce top, Finest Grade Indian Rosewood back and sides, beautiful multiple inlays designed with real Abalone Pearl, magnificent Ebony binding with matching Abalone purfling, Grand Ole Opry Star inlays on the Ebony fingerboard, an Ebony bridge, and pickguard with a border that consists of 80 small stars inlaid with Abalone pearl.
