แนวHard Bopตามความรู้สึกผมน่าจะเป็นแนวที่ทำให้เกิดR&B ลองฟังเพลงพวกนี้ Horace Silver"Song for my Father" นักกีตาร์ที่เล่นแนวHard Bopดีๆที่ผมนึกได้ก็Kenny Burrellชุด"Midnight Blue" และGrant Green(คนนี้เป็นต้นแบบการเล่นของGeorge Benson)

ยุคนี้มีทั้งES-335, ES-175, Super400 เรียกว่าเกือบครบเหมือนปัจจุบันแล้ว

COOL JAZZ

Miles Davisคือผู้กำเนิดอัลบั๊มBirth of The Cool ทำให้เป็นเรียกชื่อนี้ไปเลย จนไปถึงพวกStan Getzที่เล่นกับCharlie Byrdที่เอาดนตรีBrazilมาปนกับJazzจนเรียกว่าBossa Nova

FUSION

ต่อมาก็คงเป็นยุคทองของDisco นักดนตรีของเราก็ต้องหาตังค์เลยเกิดแนวFusionขึ้นมาอย่างMiles Davis หรือPop Fusionอย่าง Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour จนเรียกกันว่า GRP Music เกิดอย่างเต็มตัว

กีตาร์ยุคนี้ก็ใช้ตั้งแต่Stratและทุกๆประเภทแต่เน้นกีตาร์ประเภทไฟฟ้าเยอะๆผสมทั้งEffectและเสียงSynครับ

CONTEMPORARY

ปัจจุบันก็แบบไร้ขอบเขตเลย แล้วแต่ใครจะอิงแนวเก่าหรือแนวใหม่ๆ

นักกีตาร์กลุ่มดาวรุ่งพุ่งแรงก็มี2พวก

ที่อิงแบบเก่าก็ JuLian Lage ใช้ Gibson L-5 1934เล่นจ่อไมค์ออกเวทีครับ
