2 Bookmatched sets - 4pcs 24" x9.5" x 1/4" sawn finish not sanded.

RARE CYPRESS, Cupressus macrocarpa, SOUNDBOARD TOPS
Lovely bookmatched tops or backs here for Jumbo acoustic guitar. This is Cypress wood - Cupressus macrocarpa from Australia - Victorian Western District. The tree is native to Monterey California but thrives here in Victoria.
Cypress is a lovely wood to use. Smells great and works well with sharp tools. Underrated as a tonewood. It has excellent sonic properties and makes a fine soundboard top with good stability. (Spanish cypress is a smaller tree, the wood less figured but still favoured for Flamenco guitars.)
These sets are old dry material 7yrs seasoned. Perfect quartersawn and free of defect.
