เพลงโปรดของป้าแดงเองจ้า..ขอบคุณน้าซ่าส์..มาก ๆ นะคะ อุตส่าห์หามาให้ฟัง
ตั้งแต่น้าซ่าส์บอกความหมายของเพลงนี้ป้าแดง จุก เสียด แน่น เฟ้อ เลอ เหม็น
ปรี้ยวเลยค่ะ โหดจริง ๆ แต่ชอบเพราะว่าทำนองและดนตรี และเสียงร้องของ อาร์ท
ร้องออกมาได้เพราะ และกลมกลืนกับเสียงดนตรีมาก ๆ ค่ะ..แต่เห็นน้าซ่าส์..บอกว่า
มันยากส์มาก ๆ เหรอคะ...

ดั้งเดิมที่เดียวเพลงนี้ ถือเป็นประเภทเพลง Traditional ประเภท Bluegrass ที่บรรเลงด้วย Banjo และเสียงร้องเท่านั้น

เพลงนี้ ถือว่าเป็นเพลงพื้นบ้านเก่าแก่ ของ คนอเมริกัน (American ballad) โดยสืบค้นไปว่าน่าจะมาจากเรื่องเล่าของชาว Irish อีกที
เนื้อหาเพลง เล่าเรื่อง ชายคนนึง ที่มีความเข้าใจอะไรๆผิดๆอย่างนึง(ไม่แน่ใจว่าจากพ่อของเขาเองรึป่าว) จนทำให้เขาต้องไปฆาตกรรม(ด้วยวิธอย่างไร ลองแปลกันดูนะครับ วิธีโหดมาก แต่แปลก กลับใช้ภาษาที่ไม่รุนแรงเลย) หญิงคนรักของเขา ที่ชื่อ ROSE CONNALLY แล้วหนีกลับมาหลบซ่อนตัวที่บ้าน แต่สุดท้ายก็หนีการจับกุมไม่พ้น และต้องโทษประหารชีวิตด้วยการแขวนคอในที่สุด (มีบางคนกระแนะกระแหนว่า O.J. Simpson ก้เอาอย่างเพลงนี้ไปก่อคดีเช่นกัน ) แต่ยังไมข้อสรุปแน่ชัดว่า เป็นเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นจริงหรือไม่ หรือเป็นแค่เรื่องเล่าปรัมปรา เท่านั้น (ทำให้นึกถึงเพลง มะเมี๊ย ของบ้านเราเลย แม้เนื้อหาไม่เหมือนกัน แต่มีที่มาซับซ้อนคล้ายๆกัน นี่แหละ เสน่ห์ของเพลง Ballad)

เพลงนี้ยังมีชื่อเรียกอีกหลายชื่อ ซึ่งแน่นอนว่า ท่วงทำนอง และคำร้อง อาจจะไม่เหมือนเป๊ะ เลยกับที่เราๆคุ้นหูในversion ที่ Art บันทึกเสียงเอาไว้ ด้วยเพราะว่าเป็นเพลงพื้นบ้านที่มีวิธีสืบทอดต่อกันมาด้วยการ จำ จึงอาจมีผิดแผกแตกต่างไปบ้าง
