I happened to be old friend of RS, had a chance or two to talk to Amnaj Srima (who's still as nice as before) on the phone when I was back at BKK. Still missing some other RS original members such as Niyom Saadphan and my buddy Ead (Sermvech Shuangyanyong) and few others but I don't personally know Jeed, I believed he came in after the old original singer Choosak has gone.

Let me share some ancient history (40 years plus ago) here with any youngsters whoever curious to know about this old band "Royal Sprites" from my point of view.

RS was born right after the broke up of a rock band called "The flowers", The Flowers consisted of Aud (Sitthiporn Amornphan) Lead singer and lead guitar, Naj (Amnaj Srima) 2nd guitar, Maew (Uthai Thongnium) bass guitar, and Noi (I don't know his real name!) the drummer. The Flowers was very much into The Beatles, and believe it or not, they played almost every song from Sgt. Pepper!!!!! I was in the other band across the street that happened to play nightly in the other club that was also owned by the same owner that owned the club that The Flowers played nightly. So we knew each other so well. I even bought Aud's Honda motorcycle!

After disbanded, Aud came to play with my band for about a month before left for The Impossible. Maew (deceased) came to play organ with me and we became real closed-friend until he left for USA about 2 years before me. Naj and Noi stuck together and formed RS by recruited some other musician friends, such as Yom (Niyom Saadphan) Choosak the singer and later on added few more windwood players that I already forgot their names. Then they recruited Ead who was playing organ in my band at the time, hahahaBig Grin

I think RS was one of the band in our time that began to focus in playing Thai songs while most of the other bands denied. Before I left for USA I've heard about Jeed but never had a chance to see him with the band. I have talked to Naj few times on the phone when I was back in BKK few years ago but never had time to get together with him, also talked to Ead on the phone few times too. Hopefully we'll meet again in this life before any of us gone to the other dimensionRolleyes
