The neck is narrower and shallower in profile then a traditional classical guitar neck.

At the nut the width measures 1 7/8? which provides sufficient spacing for nylon strings.

The neck joins the body at the 14th fret like most steel string guitars. - The bracing is in Ovation?s VT-8 Pattern. This pattern was shared with certain steel string Ovation models. For reference other Ovation nylon models used a modified double fan, or a hybrid fan.

Here are some of the additional features found on this model:
? A slotted headstock and neck of a 5-ply configuration running the length of the neck incorporating a single continuous carved headstock, neck, and heel.
? A solid Walnut Tie Slot Bridge is used. The action is perfect for a nylon guitar at 3.0mm@12th fret.
? Fully-Enclosed Gold Plated Tuning Machines are used.
