This is a very rare folk instrument made by the excellent luthier Dermot McIlroy.
Hand Made Irish.
An 8 string mandolin type instrument but with a longer more comfortable scale length, wider fingerboard and built in the same way he builds guitars to give great volume and long sustain.

•Back and sides: Solid Brazilian Rosewood
•Top: Solid Sitka Spruce
•Neck: 5 piece Mahogany, Sycamore, Rosewood, Sycamore, Mahogany with solid Ebony fingerboard
•Edge bindings: Sycamore with Pear, Rosewood Purfling inlays
•Rosette: Paua Abalone with Rosewood and Sycamore purfling inlays
•Headstock veneer: Cocobolo with Sycamore underlay
•Bridge: Brazilian Rosewood
•Machine heads: Gold plated Gotoh
•Semi hard case included
•Scale length 16.125 inches, 41cm
